Putting data on a CD

Storing data on a CD is one of the ways you can protect your data and prevent the chance of losing it. If you have a folder on your computer that is full of photos of your first child, and you don't have those photos stored anywhere else, you are risking losing them if something should happen to your computer. Most people would not want to take that risk with such an irreplaceable item. You can burn them to a CD, and stick it in a drawer, or send it to a family member.
