Buying a computer

Sooner or later, you will be shopping around for a new computer. There are a lot of factors to consider before making this purchase:

- what kind of processor, and what speed processor should you have?
- how much memory do you need?
- how much hard drive space do you need?
- CD drive, CD/RW drive, DVD/RW drive, or a combination of these?
- what brand name, and where should you buy it?
- what software do you need to order with the computer?
- desktop or laptop?
- how much video memory do you need?

There are lots of other questions that could come into play. The point is, I can help you wade through all of the computer mumbo-jumbo and help you focus on getting just the computer that you need for the work you want to do.
